They quickly degenerated into a garden-variety house music act, but back in 1997 Gus Gus were awesome, part of the Cool Icelandia phenomenon spearheaded by Björk. Watching this live performance of Believe in some late night show of the German music channel Viva convinced me to buy their album the very next day.
