Words to live by. Far too many people forget undercutting the ‘competition’ is a sure way to make all of us miserable and engaged in a race to the bottom that ruins any economy. We all must be fair - we shouldn’t just demand fairness from bosses, clients, politicians and other authorities; but indeed practice fair pay and fair prices in our daily work whenever we find ourselves in a position to set or accept terms.
And as far as free work is concerned, I’d stress it is something you should only do for a demonstrably non-profit organization or as a reciprocal favor for a friend. (via Pedro Quintas)
